Who We Are
Our mission is to provide a high standard of care for terminally ill people, their families and bereaved people in the community.
Ipswich Hospice Care grew out of the community’s belief that more needed to be done to improve the standard of support available in Ipswich for people affected by terminal illness.
Initially providing home-based respite care and support services, Ipswich Hospice Care opened its doors in 1994 in a new purpose built complex. It has since been recognised as an ACHS accredited healthcare facility.
With the opening of the Hilda des Arts Community Centre next door the Hospice has expanded its services to include bereavement support, complementary therapies in palliative care and educational workshops for the general community.
