How Ipswich Hospice is responding to COVID-19
LATEST UPDATE 30 March 2020: Following the directive from the Chief Health Office on Friday 27th March 2020 (you can see the directive here), the Ipswich Hospice visitor policy has changed. We now have only one visitor per patient. We know this is not ideal, so if you have any questions about this please call us to discuss. Thank you for your support, patient and understanding at this difficult time.
24th March 2020: In accordance with recommended guidelines to further protect our Ipswich Hospice Care patients, families and staff, we have relocated our Ipswich Hospice Care administration and reception to Hilda’s House, 39 Chermside Road Eastern Heights, right next door to Ipswich Hospice Care. Visitors to our patients, continue to use the guest wing entrance, all other visitors and deliveries are to present to Hilda’s House. We respectfully request that visits to Ipswich Hospice Care continue to be kept to a minimum.
20th March 2020: We would like to advise that Ipswich Hospice Care are following all the recommended precautionary actions to reduce the contact with Coronavirus to continue the high level of care we offer. We ask you to support us by limiting your visits to Hospice unless essential. Thank you for your support.
16th March 2020: Given the recent declaration of a global pandemic, and the subsequent recommendations from the federal and state governments, Ipswich Hospice has taken the decision to pause all volunteer services at Ipswich Hospice, effective immediately. This decision was not taken lightly but we believe it is the best course of action at this time. We look forward to welcoming back all volunteers when it is safe to do so.
If you have any queries or would like to discuss this at any time, please call us on 3812 0063.
