Friends of Hospice

The Friends of Hospice auxiliary formed in 1996 is an initiative developed by a group of volunteers committed to raising funds for the purchase of items which may enhance the quality of life and care of the guests at Hospice.

Items have included medical equipment, supplies, furniture, air-conditioning units for each guest room and other items of support to guests and their families.

Friends of Hospice continues to raise funds for the support of Hospice through their operation of a craftshop “The Country Corner” located on the corner of East and South St Ipswich, and the Hospice Bookshop at the top of Brisbane St Ipswich. Both stores are managed and operated by a group of dedicated volunteers.
