Hospice Craft Group

Ipswich Hospice is proud to have a dedicated group of Craft Volunteers who lovingly design and produce hand crafted items for you to purchase.  All funds raised come back to Hospice to help us to continue to provide our services to our guest and their families.

Some of the items they make are knitted and crocheted blankets, baby clothes, handtowels, toys, covered coat hangers and greeting cards. All of these items are available for you to purchase through Hospice reception, and greeting cards are available through various medical centres throughout Ipswich.  Craft group also regularly host stalls at Brassall Shopping Centre, where you can choose from a selection of items. Upcoming dates can be found on our Events Page.

The Craft Group meet once a week at Hospice, currently Thursday.  If you are interested in joining Craft Group, you can leave your details at Reception, or call 3812 0063.

In addition, the group is known for their hand decorated mini Christmas Cakes. Only 100 cakes are produced each year, and these quickly sell out. Orders are taken at Hospice Reception from November each year, so be quick to ensure you don’t miss out.

The craft group also make quality jabots for Queensland barristers.  These are individually made and can be ordered online.  Follow this link for more information about ordering your jabots.
